چکیده

Abstract In this study, the coupled torsional–transverse vibration of a propeller shaft system owing to misalignment caused by rotation was investigated. The proposed numerical model is based on modified version Jeffcott rotor model. equation motion describing harmonic vibrations obtained using Euler–Lagrange equations for associated energy functional . Experiments considering different speeds and axial loads acting propulsion were performed verify effects parameters such as length diameter, stiffness damping coefficients, cross-section eccentricity also studied. increased displacement response, yet not initially observed. With increase in eccentricity, interaction between two modes became apparent, agreement predictions experimental measurements improved. Given results, can represent systems.
